Paying Tribute to Everyday Original Malaysian Heroes This Malaysia Day

Who is your Original Malaysian hero?

Having gone through an unprecedented and challenging time since the start of 2020, this Malaysia Day will carry a deeper meaning for all of us. While we have grown stronger by supporting one another, this year has also showed us one thing – that not all heroes wear capes. They come from all backgrounds and are found everywhere, every day.

We live in a country that is made up of people who are always ready to extend a helping hand or put a smile on our faces hence, today, on Malaysia Day, Jacob’s is encouraging Malaysians to spread positivity while paying tribute to the hidden heroes within our community. Through simple acts of kindness, courage and love, these heroes have made our day-to-day lives a little easier. Let’s recognise and celebrate our very own Original Malaysian heroes by using the Jacob’s Instagram filter

Pay tribute to your own Malaysian heroes – those who put a smile on our faces, people who have offered us a helping hand, and individuals who in their own unique ways, have made our country a safer, happier, and better place. In celebration of the Original Malaysians, Jacob’s has identified four everyday Malaysians who have gone the extra mile to help others.

This year’s new line-up of Original Malaysians includes local technopreneur Adrian Wong who aided the frontliners with 3D printed PPE as they fought a pandemic, national Paralympics coach R. Jeganathan who turned the disability of our athletes into an ability, professional hairstylist Nur Azmina Burhan who gives renewed hope to the underprivileged with new looks, and local activist and artist Rizo Leong who champions social causes. These outstanding and inspiring Malaysians have given us so much yet expecting so little in return.

This Malaysia Day, let us recognise, embrace and celebrate our everyday heroes. Be sure to #TheOriginalsMY and tag @jacobs_malaysia in your Instagram postings.
