Salam Should be Presented Personally on This Raya | SDS introduce Raya advertisement to remind people it’s time to go home. The joyous religious holiday of Islam is expected to fall on 2 May 2022 after ending Ramadhan. When we talk about Hari Raya, we will first think of delicious festive food or brand new “Baju Raya”. Gathering with family members will be the last concern as gathering used to be the easiest thing that we can achieve. However, pandemic which has already last for more than two years had made gathering the toughest act during Raya. As Malaysia has entered endemic phase since 1 April, Muslims are believed to be able to celebrate Raya at hometown with their family again, and realize the gathering that has been longed for. As the local most recognizable family bakery and cafe, SDS decides to remind people to go home for Raya with the newest advertisement introduced.

The video features a Malay girl who used to live with mother who always by her side and pampers her on any matter since she was young. When she grows up and begin her career, she then realizes her mother has no longer by her side to pamper her. The girl is then deciding to back to hometown during Raya holidays to see her mother that she misses.

“Family, especially our parents, are always the strongest backing for us in whatever circumstance,” said Mr. Lee Ling Sen, Marketing Manager of SDS.

“The social distance regulation enforcement has widened the gap between the two generations, yet grows a stronger affective emotion in them of hoping to stay as closer as they can. When we can stay with our family, we neglect them. When we can’t see them for a long time, we then realize the true feeling buried deep in our heart. Therefore, we hope the story can triggers people’s memories of being together with their family, and remind them to go back home for Raya.” Mr. Lee commented.

Apart from the centred message that SDS would like to express, the video also reminds SDS customers that it’s time to do Raya festive shopping. Including the gift boxes showed in video, there is a total of four selections of hamper launched by SDS for this Raya. Ranges from RM88 to RM258, the four selections of Raya gifts are furbished with crumbly cookies, and wrapped in pleasant looking Raya designed packaging. “Mesra Gift Box”, the gift set featuring in video is the most economical yet presentable and noteworthy Raya gift set introduced by SDS which is available at RM88, and packed with SDS signature cookies including “Nyonya Pineapple Cookies”, “Almond and Seeds Crisp”, “Chocolate Cookies”, and two packets of chocolate. “Lebaran Hamper” remain as the luxury choice for SDS customers and wrapped with “Nyonya Pineapple Cookies”, “Almond and Seeds Crisp”, “Peanut Cookies”, “Almond Chocolate Cookies”, “Chocolate Cookies”, “4 in 1 Cookies Set”, chocolate, bottled prune extract, and Kurma is up for grabs at RM258 only. It’s almost impossible to not pay attention to the Raya cookies launched by SDS, as they always whip up the best. According to Mr. Lee, the seven selections of Raya cookies introduced by SDS this year are available from RM20.80 to RM33.80. Raya isn’t complete without a bite on “Nyonya Pineapple Cookies”.
